Founded 2006 the independent collective is the result of a meeting of a group of enthusiasts inspired by music and motivated to act, who met in the right place and time and established a dub/reggae Soundsystem named Shalamanda HiFi.

They began their activities by organizing events, which resulted in the rapid development and construction of the first Austrian soundsystem. Musically, they can be classified very clearly: Reggae Roots & Culture ranging from rare Jamaican recordings from the 60s/70s to modern digital dub productions from around the world. Thanks to their love of music and soundsystem culture, each session is a special and authentic experience for the body, mind, and soul.

Shalamanda HiFi is also well known for organizing the legendary Rise & Shine Festival in lower Austria, the „Give thanks for life“ charity event in Linz and manymany legendary „Dubquake“ events in Vienna!
