Formed in 2015 by Maxime Maréchal ( guitar) and Quentin Parsy (vocal), the band was created with the goal to make a blend of deathcore and slamming brutal death metal. Raphael Gallet (bass) came later in 2016.

The band came with their very first effort “Multiversal Entities Of Abhorrent Hatred” in 2017, homemade and later remastered by Wilson Ng (Cats and Hammers Domination audio production) in early 2018, delivering the album’s true potential. A christmas special single was also released in December 2017 called “Xergotron, The Xmas Humans Eater”, helping the band to gain in popularity. In Late 2018, 8 way full french split album “Hexagonectomy Brutal Deathsquad” came as a way from 8 bands to develop their popularity, it was well received by the public. 2019 marked the beginning of a new horizon for the band, with the signing with both Miasma Records and Vomit Your Shirt, and a second album “Abomination of Aurokos” released in March 24th. New bassist Raphael Darras and first drummer ever Thomas Crémier later joined the band in March 2019, to complete the team and start to play in festival like Deathfest Open Air or Rock the Hell. In February 2020 Quentin Parsy decides to leave Hurakan for personal reasons. The band then decides to recruit a new singer and Danny Louzon will become his successor. Hurakan begins writing a new album, which will indicate a major change in the band's style.
