Behind Sun People is Simon Hafner from Graz, who has been active as a DJ and producer for more than two decades.

He has been merging Footwork, Jungle, and Techno influences into a unique and distinctive sound that led to releases on renowned labels like Exit, Rua Sound or Defrostatica. In addition to remix jobs, gigs, and his own productions, Simon also pursues his musically versatile vision in a four-weekly radio show on London’s Sub.FM.

To further expand his musical sphere he recently started a label called All Things Records, where his first album ‚Look Withini‘ s released on Oct. 17. In over 10 tracks, Sun People follows previous explorations into footwork and techno influenced realms at 160bpm.

Stepping into territories without structural or functional limitations leads Sun People towards raw, experimental, analogue jams, while remaining in the realm of club music. This form suggests a deeper exploration of dance music that wants to create and allow a meditative zone on the floor, evoking not only physical but also mental reactions and affects.
